Now since she is older, approx 6 months, both of her vets believe she has the Lab in her,w/ boarder collie. Alot whose been around her, say they can really see the BC personallity. Very loyal and playful + full of energy. Relatively healthy.

UPDATE ON HOW GYPSY IS DOING

With her training & play-time ...
Working with GYPSY, teaching her the simple commands. Short lil sessions several times a day. "Sit" "No" "Stay" "Wait" "Lay" "Beg" "Shake" ( her paw ) learning "Here" "Come" "Fetch" "Heel" and she does good on leash but working with her not to pull and tug... "Slow" is taking more practice too~ when to go and stop walking on left side alot of practice is paying off. She doing very good for her age. Also, been teaching her some other stuff and . "Back" (meaning to step back) "Right" and "Left" Doing pretty good with "OFF" ( meaning off limits--- like cats, cars, road and garden & etc. "Drop-It) (drop out of mouth) "Down" not to jump on people, She been letting me know when she wants to go out side. She too has been learning where her "Beddie" is... too. She has some favorite toys and games she likes to play. She has a good sniffer nose and likes to find a treat when I hide it I then tell her "Find your Goodie" Then she looks like a big hunting dog tracking... It so cute. I think today I going to go get a plastic container w/ lid to pour her food into to keep it fresh ... I keep her treats in seprate little bags in zip lock baggies that works pretty good. I keep those close at hand.
I too find puppy toys at the dollar store for her... she likes them. I am thinking about looking for easy to wash toys for her to have outside too. I have a ideal for her to have a weather resistant toy box outside. I will work on that and see what I can come up with for her. I am still trying to decide if it would be necessary for her to have a doggie house outside or not. Simply for the fact she will not be a outside dog living out there. So I will have to figure out that one.

She does seem to pick up so fast and quick as a whip... I have really been working with her on those most import basic commands now. ( check your blog on my comments... hehehe )
Yesterday she showed off her skills to my Auntie "E" She loved her outing.
Sida from a lil car sick accident. But she did great...

My cousin and her husband were very impressed for her age... for all of what she does. ^..^

I have to take another picture... I think she is turning into CLIFFORD. lol

    Hi again.
and i'm impressed too!!! With all the training you're already doing. You're inspiring me to want to start training Kaylee. I can't wait for her to get here, but it's only 7 weeks and 5 days til she comes home. I've been shopping like a mad woman online. I've ordered little leather boots for her so she doesn't get the stickers and cactus and foxtails in them. It used to take me forever to pull them out one by one with Ricci. I thought i'd start the pup with boots. I tried them on Ricci but at her age she just stood there frozen and wouldn't walk. It was so funny. So i gave it up but said the next pup will learn to wear boots from the beginning. i also got a ramp so she can learn to climb up it and into my truck. As Ricci was getting older she couldn't jump anymore and she got too heavy to pick up altho i did. Now i want to preserve my back, so i'm getting a ramp for Kaylee. And of course i ordered the xpens, baby gates, collars, leash, harness, treats, toys, etc etc. She is going to be one spoiled princess!!! you can bet on that. If i over-spoil her, she can blame Ricci. LOL!!! So what's new with Gypsy?? gwen

    Howdy Howdy Gwen & Kaylee
I took Gypsy to the vet yesterday... Whew..... I thought her appt was today I just realized the date and beat all to get her there on time... Made it just in time with about 10 minutes to spare... lol
Gypsy rec'd her 2nd 5 in 1 booster shot. And the Rabies vacine also. I scheduled her for her Spaying for March 28th. I am to be there at 6:30 a.m. They did not say anything about not feeding her before we go in but I will not give her anything after 12 midnight just as a precaution... I maybe over cautious but believe it would be better for her. I will also call the vets to make sure if there is any other prep I should know. I was also suprized, they told me I can pick her up the same evening between 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. They said yes I can stay while she is in surgery. They said severvel pet owners do stay while their babies are having surgery. I was glad to hear.

The doctor said she now thinks that Gypsy is 14 weeks old, not 13 weeks. She was impressed of how good Gypsy was for so young... "Sitting" "Staying" on command and Gypsy sat perfectly for her shots... not even a whimper.
The vet said to wait on the next few car rides before we do anything. She said she might grow ot of it. Could get used to riding.
She too said Gypsy looks real hardy and healthy. And said she loved her personality, vey sweet.
She wieghed her.... 10 lbs 13 oz. and still says hard to tell what her size will be...
Her paws over these last 2 weeks have really gotten big!!!
Just they grew so fast.... like over night her feet was a size 3 then suddenly when she woke up they were a size 13! lol hahaha

I am contaplating on what size kennel I should get for her because of the fact I am not sure just how big she will get.

I have to replace her play ball... She popped her other one playing so hard. I threw the old on away as it isn't a resistant plastic of rubber ... was afraid if she continue to bite on it playing maybe a piece would break off and possible injesting a hunk of it... I will look see if pet shop ~petsmart~ Carrys a dog ball like and small kick - ball. She loved it. But is wasn't made for pet play... not very endurable.

I am proud of Gypsy she has really improved on her simple commands... expecially "Come", "Sit" & "Stay" Good Girlie.

I know you must have been going DOG ~ WILD Shopping... hehehe There are so many cool things out there for puppies now. I chuckled about the footies story you tell me. Thanks for sharing... I am looking foward to hearing so much about Kaylee... I hope she is doing real well.
Kiss the baby for us. ( or blow a kiss if she not allowed to be picked up yet *..*
Well, I should close for now, I'll talk to you later ok.
