Little Ms GYPSY & Friends

Family friendly blog about a little orphaned pup finding a new home. Baby Bear Cub when I first found her. Sweet and friendly. Now since she is older, approx 6 months, both of her vets believe she has the Lab in her,w/ boarder collie. Alot whose been around her, say they can really see the BC personallity. Very loyal and playful + full of energy. Relatively healthy.

GYPSY'S UPDATE...

Gypsy is doing great... She is so enjoyable to have here. She is growing so fast, her back is already up to my knee. Her classes are going very well... she did miss 2 classes, but is back on track and I kept working with her and hasn't missed out on to much and isn't really behind the other puppies. They worked more on laying down on the first week she missed and last week was "Wait" mainly... so she is ok... We both really missed the class, and I know I look forward to them every week.

She had missed class because she was sick and had antibotics. ( Which changed her spaying dat, but that is rescheduled for May 2nd) and last week our Indiana weather in spring can get alil' rough. Had alot of tornado warnings and watches out. Call me a "CHICKEN" but I know from experiance how awful that can be. Didn't want to take Gypsy into a well known Tornado Alley strip. That area just seems to attract tornados. So used my best judgement. All was fine, Thank God, But as unstable as it was, it could have been just as bad as past storms. During last week we've been on weather alerts 3 times already.

I do also have some great news... Gypsy has been doing so much better riding in the car. She didn't get car- sick last night. And this is a milestone for her. I am glad because I would love to be able to take her with me more, because once we get to where we are going... she always enjoys herslef and has so much fun.

Last week, since the weather has warmed up, and at times when the weatheer isn't threatening us, we have been able to be outside much more in the yard. She loves the outdoors. This is why I would love to find some dog friendly parks here too. I do consider myself to be blessed of having a nice sized fenced in yard. She is able to get her exercise... romps and shows off like you wouldn't believe.

Well Speaking of outside... I best take her out...

You definitely need to post more pictures of Gypsy! I want to see her, she sounds so big now. How old is she now? Zelda will be 5 months on April 20. They grow so fast! It was nice when she was 6 pounds and didn't tear up my carpet...lol. Now she's 20 pounds, so big!

Continuing Gypsy's classes sounds like a fabulous idea. I'll probably do the same.

That's all for now, post those pictures!

    Steph & Zelda.
Today I am figuring Gypsy is 22 weeks old now. Such a Big Baby. This morning another milestone... *..* She laid so nice while she let Hobbie drink from her water dish. It was so sweet. She stayed so quiet and still not to scare him.

I hope Gwens' Baby Girl Kaylee does come home soon... I am figuring this should be soon too. I know she will be so ready for her.

I hope lil Zelda is feeling better.

Oh I have to add, although I done told you about friday... ( want it on my posting of Gypspsys' blog too)

This friday Gypsy will graduate from Puppy Kindergarten Class. Last friday we focused on the all of the different commands we've learned & practiced alot... Then narrowing ourselves down to where are the weakest on. Then worked on what kind of corrections we could make to improve our training & skills. She is doing really well... I am still a Clutz... lol... When she is so excited when Meeting & Greeting she still wants to jump up on people. But doing real well otherwise. Once she gets over her excitement, she sits and waits so perfectly... She was awed by alot of the shoppers during practiced time.

I promise too, I will be posting pictures during next weekend... So watch for em'... k lol

She is scheduled to go back in on May 2nd.... I looked her teeth look like they are grown in better now... Doesn't look like she has lost any from on the 28th of Marchs' visit. But with me not being a vet... I still am not sure if they are in all the way or not. We'll soon know.

    HAPPY TAILS...
    Gypsy & Mommie
