About Me
- Name: Paula
- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
I am a pretty simple country gal in a big city... I love Indianapolis, tho, I believe my heart belongs to the country life. I returned to my homestate of Indiana, in April of 2001. I purchased a 1890 home, in a quaint little neighborhood that has been coming back and fell in love with it. It definately needed alot of attention. I have lived in IN, FL, LA & Germany... I have been grateful for the wonderful experiances... No place like home. I come from a large family, and they are very important to me. Both of my parents are from Indiana, my roots & values have been definately passed down. My son and his wife and 3 beautiful adoring children are "THE APPLE OF MY EYE!" (I am O'ma.) This was the hardest part of moving back home. They do understand why I came back... and we do make the extra effort to keep our relationship strong. My parents had raised and showed livestock, cats & dogs for many years. I took part in the show dogs when I was very young... I guess that is why when ever I have found a stray or abandoned baby I have always been willing to give it a good home and be a part of the family.

Hi Paula and Gypsy,
gwen and kaylee here. thanks for your post, altho i didn't post it.... LOL! we're doing fine and Kaylee is such an angel. i can't wait for my book to be done so i can tell the world about her.... well, at least anyone who's interested. hehehe.
anyway, to answer your questions:
Fortunately for me, there's no fleas here. But when i lived in california we had tons of fleas. I used a product with diatomaceous earth in it on my carpet. Forgot the name of it, but the primary or perhaps only ingrediant is the totally natural and safe dessicant.(as long as they don't breath it, but if you use it correctly, it shouldn't be a problem - at least it wasn't for me. Perhaps you can find it online. And there are very good products now that you can get from your vet to solve the flea problem. It's a pill they take once a month and it worked great when i had 4-5 dogs in the house. good luck.let me know how it goes.

Hi Paula and Gypsy,
Happy New Year! Great to hear from you. Please let me know when her lastest pic is up on your site. it's been a crazy and busy year for me so i haven't been blogging. I plan to complete the Kaylee book this summer when it's too hot to do much else. If you check in at my website now and then it should be obvious when the book is completed.
i'll try to remember to contact you thru your blog when it's ready. I'm not posting our comments to each other on my blog, as i don't want others to think it's still active. I just do not have time right now to answer questions, not that i don't want to. I'm just too busy. I'm sure you can relate.
woofs to Gypsy from Kaylee (and me too)
