SMILE!!!

MY GIRLS HAVE LEARNED HOW TO "SMILE" I am trying to teach them how to Blow kisses next hahahaha

For Gypsys Brothers ( they are kittys)

I haven't tried any of these... just come across this site tonight but thought some of you might to ck out it.
The pet food scare has made me second think on what we take for garted.
http://www.i-love-cats.com/cat-food-recipes.html
As a rule I have given gypsy table food, although limited and strictly considered first. I don't give her chocolate by any means. Nor will I give her sugary food or what falls in that big long catagory of JUNK FOOD. I will admitt I have let her have stewed veggies and chicken, beef ( normally not fried foods)... Selective.

But I won't disagree or endorse what others chose to give their pets or animals... To me it has to be strictly up to them.

I thought some of you might like to look at these reciepes... You decide for yourself...

( I guess that is my disclaimer lol)

I haven't forgotten about my picture promise. I promise.

I have really been busy with my son and his family. (Which is definately a good thing... I love them so. They are my pride and joy. Yes Roxy and Gypsy too are too. *..* + ^..^ = Gypsy & Roxy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Gypsy has turned 1 year old
I celebrate her birthday at Christmas since I am not really sure of her actual birth date.

SMILE!!!

Gypsy and Roxy hangin' out. My sons' dog Roxy and Gypsy get along very well.
They love to play all the time. Roxy is so sweet... She is about 5 or 6 yrs old. She is the first large dog I ever felt such a strong connection to. At first I was leary to think my son would have a Rotwieler... I was scared to meet her. I am very Thankful I was wrong. we have been good buddies ever since the first day we had contact.
I love her to pieces.

GYPSY THINKS THIS IS HERS

They love this I know I am going to have to go get em another one. But a perfect change to teach them how to share.

BABY GIRL

Gypsy new little comforter fits exactly in her kennel. I did find a great deal on it. Walgreens has them on sale for only $10 bucks, I am not sure how long they will be on sale. But I am tempted to go get a couple more. They are really nice and says they are washable too.
My cats decided they like it too.
Really I left the kennel door open for about 45 minutes and and she stayed right there chewing on her treat. she really loves it.
I am still working with Gypsy on her house manners. She still really goes wild in the other part of the house (other than in the kitchen, where she has been allowed in there from time I found here.) So This has been a chore. I will not hardly let her off her leash when she is in there. She wants to run wild and jump up onto everything. I h realize it is is excitement but I don't feel like I can say to her "GO PLAY" because she does as I have described. She behaves beautifully when I have her on the leash and she is in her training session, and I am standing with her or Sitting right down there on the floor with her. I thought if I put a bed in there I might be able to use it as a training tool while she is in there. So we still have alot of work.
Now, I think as I said before my kitties love it too... will have to address their needs.
=^..^= *..* =^..^=
I refuse to tell them they can't get on that. lol
One other thing.... I do not know why... but really have noticed since she returned from the vets office from being spayed. She is very reluctant to obeying my commands. But, will say... she is not being BAD... Just has taken 3 or 4 steps back. So I am re-enforcing her skills. The commands she is becoming reluctant on are her very basic skills... such as SIT, WAIT, LAY DOWN & OFF, even her loose leash walking she wants to have the control and run... It is nearly impossible to have her listen if she isn't on her leash. So we are going back from square one on these stages of training too.
Her vets office is wonderful, I don't believe it is anything they did that caused this. They all love animals there and are very kind to them, never am I saying any mistreatment. Just maybe the fact they didn't make her adhere to commands and let her have more free - run ???
Too, I know she just had her surgery and her first few days at home I myself was more lacks on commands. so it maybe just the fact that it was the sequence of the timing.
This week I believe she will bounce back and will make a point to work with her more. I think since she is back to 100% I will see in her that she will be listening better.
I did find a park close to our home, I am planning on taking her over. I think she will like it. It is not a doggie park that lets them loose. but does welcome dogs on the leash... Truthfully, I am not egar to have her off her leash yet anyway... I have been getting her used to being in our yard without her leash on. Only when I am absolutely present with her though. She is doing pretty good with this, does need more training to be w/o a leash.
I do have a goal of being able to have her w/o her leash but I don't believe she is ready.... yet. Nor, am I ready.
One answer to some of the problems I seem to have is I think her engergy level is high as most labs do have. I want her to be able to benifit from my fenced in yard. Spend her energy romp and play. But yet, I still training her to stay off the plants and not want to dig, chew nor pull up or tromple them and stay out of the gardens. It is a hard mix to be someone whom really works in my yard and to have a dog... I don't know if I am asking to much from her. I am being paitent... tho she wants to be a WILD CHILD.

GYPSY HOME FROM SURGERY

Gypsy is home from being spayed. Was at the Vets from very early in morning until early evening. Which was what was planned. Doctor said all went well, and Gypsy was a real good girl.

Drank her water when she got home like they said, only offer small amounts at first. She only ate about 4 or 5 bites of food after 10 pm as the Vet instructed... I was up all night with her... last night. She did sleep some... but most of today she has rested much better. Has been going out just to potty... and not allowed to romp any. I don't think she feels much like romping anyway. Yesterday she chose to go down the ramp... was much easier on her. She did go down the 2 steps off the deck today.... She has been laying chewing on her bone some today. But been pretty quite as exspected. So I think she doing pretty good. Her surgery does look like it is already begining to heal. Not red or swollen, her mouth color looks good too. Her eyes still look a lil tired and maybe still from being in pain? Poor lil girlie' (I still would do it again for her... I am firm at believing this is the best solution to the population.... May sound harsh but I was shocked at what a education I recieved when I found her. ) Over all I believe she is doing real good and think she will be back to herself soon. Thank God.
Today she has done pretty good on eating... but have kept it to small amounts too.
As promised I wanted to let everyone know how everything went for her.

VET VISIT

Gypsy is fine...... Don't Panic!!! She is going to get Spayed tomorrow. She had been scheduled to go in March 28th... But, if you read back you will find we had to re-schedule. So the time has come... and I am glad it is here. But then I worry for my little baby girl. I hope all goes oks. I am keeping Faith and tucking her in my prayers.

I will update you on how she does... I am sure she will do fine.
